Hello my sweet friend and welcome back to the Ill Communication Podcast. This is episode 1 46 and as [00:01:00] I'm recording this, I am in the midst of baseball season. My kid made it onto a double A team U 15, and it is a whole. Pun intended, it's a whole nother ball game. the amount of practices driving, intensity is on another level than what we're used to.
We're all feeling pretty exhausted And it's just the beginning of the season. So still a long road ahead of us. But it makes me think about some of the content that would probably be great for us to share at this time of year. 'cause we are all in the same boat. Collectively, we're all going through the same things, depending on what season you're in.
So while I'm recording this in May of 2025, if you're actually listening to this, say in November or even March of another year, you can still apply the techniques and strategies [00:02:00] I'm gonna share with you today. So I'm coming in with another writing prompt. I want you to be able to. Just sit down, bang out a post and get it out there, whether it's for your email, whether it's content for your podcast or blog, whether it is a LinkedIn post, and so the theme or the writing prompt for today is.
Spring or summer has sprung, or the changing seasons now. It's just a great reminder to think about the changing seasons and what that could mean for your business or for your clients that you serve. What do they need to be thinking about at this time of year? This kind of content will help build authority, will help showcase your expertise because it's very grounded in your own personal story.
It builds no like and trust, and when you do it correctly, you will deliver value. So [00:03:00] all it's a powerful writing prompt. So in this. Prompt. Think about your expertise and how you can share some of the biggest opportunities, trends, or considerations in this season. Now, of course, you can think spring, summer, fall, and winter, but what if you thought outside the box, it's grad season.
What are some themes around grad season? Back to school, camping season, hiking season, soccer, mom season, baseball season. a golf season, pickleball season, anything going on in your life, in the lives of your clients, in the lives of your family, in the lives of your community, what is going on right now?
And use that as the hook or the inspiration. You could also describe the different seasons of your. Business or life and how each one contributes to its growth or evolution, what strategies are helpful to you in moving through those seasons? [00:04:00] So, for example, I'm working with some realtors right now, and we sent out a, or we created a direct mailer.
It's a postcard that's being sent out and they are targeting acreages. And one of the things we wanted to highlight is that summer is one of the best times to list and sell your acreage. so we're, leaning on this theme of summer, but why is it important? Well, it's important because in the summertime, Your yard is gonna be fully in bloom and great photos equal great prices. it's also the best time people can walk your property if you have a big property. It's also the best time for people to inspect things like septic fields or water wells. When it's covered in snow, you can't do all that kind of stuff, so it makes sales very difficult in the winter.
So we're using this seasonal summertime to create some fresh content that actually will drive people [00:05:00] to hopefully book a call to get They're property appraised, to see what it's valued at. what are some things going on right now in your life? Like, what are you packing into your pickleball bag that's, basically gonna help you survive the season?
Can you segue that into what are the things your clients need to pack into their survival guide for the season? For example, think outside the box, think creatively, have fun with it, and really dig into what's going on this season that can generate some new ideas, some fresh content, even if you're recycling old ideas.
Just repackaging it in this summary Spring seasonal way. Here are some subject line and headlines for you to consider or test or spark your creative juices. Three tips to survive this season.
