I’m Kim Kiel

I write copy that generates cash for entrepreneurs and charities.

For the last 15 years I’ve helped brands in the environmental, arts and social sectors make our world a better place. As a fundraising copywriter, I’m adept at writing in a way that tells stories to connect and move people, inspiring them to give.

I’m also a wife and a mom of two busy boys. For nine years I worked full-time, ferrying the kids to and from school and daycare and soccer, planning meals, grocery-shopping, trying to get to work on time, but being constantly late for everything.

I was tired. Overworked. And overwhelmed with my day job, my commute and my desire to spend more time with my family. Maybe you can relate?

One day I found myself driving down the freeway in tears.

Something had to change.

I couldn’t do it all anymore.

I gave up my full-time day job as a fundraiser at a public broadcaster to become a copywriter for small businesses and charities.
