90: Turn Blah-Blah-Blah into Bravo! How to complete small business copywriting projects

It’s Blah Blah Blah Day! Yes, you heard that right!

It's a day to tune in to the voices telling us to do something. Maybe it was your spouse telling you to take out the garbage, or your financial coach telling you to incorporate your business.

Finally, it's those things we tune out or ignore or procrastinate doing. Blah Blah Blah Day isn't just about listening to others' voices, it's about tuning into the things you've been telling yourself and ignoring.

In this episode of ill communication, I’m helping you use this day to complete all of those small business copywriting projects you have been putting off.

Topics We Cover in This Episode:

  • What Blah Blah Blah Day means for your business

  • Why you need to revisit your goals from the beginning of the year

  • How you can join me in taking action on things you’ve been ignoring

I hope you’ll join me at the open Copy Club coaching session so we can take those copywriting and messaging tasks that have been “blah blah blah-ing” at you and get them out of your head and into the world.

Join me at an open Joy of Copy Club Co-Working session Tuesday, April 23! Register for free: www.kimkiel.com/officehours.

  • [00:00:03] Welcome to ill communication, copywriting tips and sales strategies for small business. I'm your host, Kim Keel. I'm a copy coach, sales strategist, and direct response copywriter. It's my mission to help women leaders and change makers amplify their voices through copy. It's why I'm dishing out all the juicy tips, writing prompts, and sales formulas to help you generate more leads, book more calls, and get more high value clients on repeat. Sounds pretty good. It's time to ditch the overwhelm you might be feeling and find confidence in your copywriting so you can get your message out there and attract more soulmate clients. Let's get started. Well. Hello there, my sweet friend, and welcome to episode 90. I can't believe I'm inching closer and closer to 100 episodes. That's super crazy to me. I was also just notified by my podcast host, Buzzsprout that I have reached 10,000 downloads. And while I'm clearly no Joe Rogan or Mel Robbins or Amy Porterfield, I still think it's amazing that my message has gone into 10,000 years. Like, I'm imagining gathering 10,000 people into a room or meeting with 100 people 100 times. That's an incredible impact and connection. So thank you, my dear listener, for being here and helping me reach these milestones. But what's also interesting about today, beyond this being my 90th episode, is that it is blah blah blah day.

[00:01:49] Yes, you are that right. April 17th is blah blah blah day. It's a day to tune in to the voices telling us to do something. Maybe it was your spouse telling you to take out the garbage, or your financial coach telling you to incorporate your business. Finally, it's those things we tune out or ignore or procrastinate doing and blah blah blah. Day isn't just about listening to others voices, it's about tuning into the things you've been telling yourself and ignoring. It's a day to dust off your vision board to review your New Year's resolutions, or to tackle your to do list. And as your friendly, resonant copy coach, I'm going to ask you to look back at the beginning of 2024 and check in with yourself. What were the messaging, visibility, or copywriting goals you set for yourself and your business? Was it to refresh your website copy? Was it to email your list more regularly? Was it to create a new opt in and upload a new welcome email sequence? And hey, I am right here with you. I have several projects from updating my web copy to running ads, to creating new offers that have been nagging at me for several months. So today I'm going to take a minute and see if I can block some time in my calendar to take action on it at a later time.

[00:03:10] Or maybe I will actually block some time today to begin tackling the dang thing. And my friend, if you're feeling a little called out right now, if you have some copy projects you haven't completed or even started, I have a special invitation for you. On Tuesday, April 23rd, I'm opening the doors to one of my regular Joy of Copy Club co-working sessions from 9 to 11 a.m. mountain. You can join me and the other copy clubbers to have some dedicated co-working and accountability. Time to take action on something you've been ignoring. I'll be on hand so you can ask me any questions. You can share your copy and I can help you judge it up so you will be ready to press send or publish, or at least take it to the next step. The Open Copy Club coaching session is free to join, but you will need to register, so save your seat at Khimki. Com slash office hours and we can take those copywriting and messaging tasks that have been blah blah blah ING at you and get them out of your head and into the world. So join me.
